I'm back! I'm back to blogging, back to work and back to South Asia. I had an amazing time with friends and family while setting up my business and getting my new visa. Over the next few weeks I will share about my time back in the States while also bringing you up to speed on life in India.
But first....the picture of the week...
I chose this picture because a friend of mine nicely reminded me to start blogging again. Being the handyman that he is, I thought he would appreciate a pic showing how things are done here. Just about every tool does not have a proper plug. This is how the internet tech plugged in his drill. I think they do this because there are so many different shaped sockets here. They would have to carry around various adapters to accommodate to the many different locations where they work. This also shows how high this culture values safety. While the internet man was running a new wire from outside, through my door, around the edge of my baseboards and to this location, the electrician was grounding all my sockets because we found out that both my fridge and wash machine were HOT! Nothing like having live current running through your fridge and your wash machine! Alas, my sockets are grounded and I have internet. Thank goodness no one was hurt in the process.
