It’s funny what you gravitate towards when you are between countries. What I mean by “between countries” is when you’re in one that is not your passport country and it’s not your host/adopted country. Thailand is a nice in-between. It has a nice blend of west and east. I have enjoyed the Thai people’s love for meat, especially the four letter one which rhymes with fork;) It gives western options that I do not get back in India or at a cheaper rate.
I splurged and went to Starbucks about four times in 7 days. Totally a convenience thing, but also the only way to get a nice DECAF cup of coffee. Still can't do the full-caf thing.
I treated myself to an Oreo Blizzard at DQ on the Oreo’s 100th birthday. I was tempted to try the unique Thai flavors but was deterred by the potential caffeine effects.
I enjoyed some of Auntie Anne’s pretzels and lemonade. Yum!
A friend of mine who lives in CM took me to this restaurant called Duke’s. It serves the best sandwiches. We each ordered a different one and shared a half with each other. I enjoyed a Cubano (nice pulled p&%# action) and she ordered a classic Rueben. Each one was delicious, but I think the Rueben was my favorite. I enjoyed with an A&W Root Beer. Ah, refreshing.
