These are my favorite flowers here.
I felt adventurous and was low on cash so I asked my language helper to become my beautician.
First, she dyed my hair. No more grey! (my hair has gotten so grey since coming here. when i put my hair up in a ponytail my hair looks completely gray. i don't really care but here random women were commenting about it on the street and in the market. it's actually that culturally inappropriate!)

Then I asked her to cut my hair! Yes, I've lost my mind. She's never done steps (layers) before. I assured her it would grow back and I could always go get someone else to fix it. She did great! (even with the below audience jeering her the entire time)

To finish it off, I got my eyebrows threaded...

The Common Wealth Games are coming here in October, so there is a lot of construction going on. This is one of the stadiums they are building.

Sai Baba of Shiridi is a very popular guru. Here's a temple in his honor. For more info see... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sai_Baba_of_Shirdi
This is THE Sai Baba...not the one who people know in the States (you know the guy with the big bushy hair dressed in orange).

Since my language helper is Muslim, I am usually at their house during at least one if not two of the prayer times. His a picture of Naniji doing her daily prayers.

You might have heard me talk about the fog (sorry, I mean smog) here. This is my street in the middle of the day...

Here's a video that will give you a taste of what it's like to take a ride in an auto rickshaw through town.
